Step-by-step instructional videos
Learn from the expert: embroidery historian, embroidery teacher and Whitework Queen, Yvette Stanton. If you've watched Yvette's White Threads Floss Tube videos, you'll know that she's a very relaxed but clear teacher. Her passion for embroidery comes through in all her teaching. You can see a sample of one of Yvette's teaching videos from this course below.
Step-by-step written instructions
In addition to the video instructions, written step-by-step instructions are also provided so that you don't have to be in front of your device the whole time.
This course is designed as a self-paced video online learning course. It doesn't matter where you are, or what time zone you are in. After you enrol, the supplies pack, step-by-step stitch instructions, project instructions and chart will be posted to you.
The project supplies pack contains Gumnut Yarns Buds silk threads, tea-dyed 28 count linen, and needles. You will need to supply scissors, a very small amount of sewing machine thread, and a 7 or 8 inch hoop. We highly recommend magnification and lighting.
As soon as your package arrives you can make a start. Progress through the videos at your own pace, in conjunction with the project instructions. The step-by-step stitch instructions are provided as support for the videos.
If you get stuck and need help, you can post in the "Discuss" section, and Yvette will be able to assist you. And you might even find someone has asked the same question previously, and the answer to their question may help you also.
All class notes and videos are copyright and must not be reproduced or passed on to anyone else.

The class well exceeded my expectations - I have had one experience of an online class previously and appreciated the effort at the time, but your class has polish, in particular the tutor intuition re learners needs sewn into the video resources. The outstanding technical skills to produce such well prepared clear videos in well paced presentations is key.

Frequently asked questions
I live in [insert any country name that isn't Australia] so it will take longer for my supplies to arrive. Will that mean I don't have enough time to complete the course within the six months?
When I decided on the length for this course, I made the access time much longer than I thought anyone would need. I feel that this project is very achievable within 3 months. So making the course access 6 months long means there should be ample time for your supplies to arrive AND complete the project.
I work full time. I'm a bit concerned I won't have enough time to complete the project within the six months.
When I decided on the length for this course, I made the access time much longer than I thought anyone would need. I feel that this project is very achievable within 3 months. I know of at least one person - who admittedly does not work full time - who completed the sampler in less than a week.
I have already purchased the silk sampler supplies pack from you. I'd like to do the course, but I don't need another set of supplies. Can I enrol in just the course?
If you're in this situation, please contact me as I have a solution. I'd love you to still be able to take part in the course!
